Safecoat DynoSeal is a high-performance sealer above or below grade that stops moisture, moisture vapor and radon gas. It's highly resistant to flame spread and temperature change and, when cured, it also resists gasoline, oil, grease, fungi, acids and alkalines. It is dark bronze in color, almost black. Spread rate 100 SF/gallon (single coat) 60 mils wet, 30 mils dry
Unlike most petroleum-based sealers, DynoSeal is safe and contains no solvents or toxic chemicals. It is elastomeric which means it remains flexible for a long time and is ideal for repairing roofs, flashing, shingles, and metal seams. It is also ideal for underground applications such as: foundation walls, fence posts, and raised garden beds. It will not leach into the soil. The color is very dark bronze.
Dynoseal is a behind-the-scenes product that is meant to be covered up and not exposed directly to the sun or elements. If used on a roof, it should be top-coated with Safecoat Roof Guard (formerly Dynoflex All Weather). If used on a basement floor, for optimum use, we would recommend installing a floor over top. Dynoseal is not meant to be walked directly upon.
Spread rate – covers 100 SF/gallon (3-4 coats), recommended 3-4 coats for below grade application, 2 coats for roof application
