AFM Safecoat Polyureseal BP is a low VOC sealer that creates a durable long-lasting finish and seals in off-gassing of hazardous chemicals. It's completely non-toxic and safe for everyone, even those with chemical sensitivities. Unlike oil-based polyurethanes which off-gas for weeks, this product has no odor once dried within several days.
AFM Safecoat Polyureseal BP is a high solids, high build sealer comparable to conventional urethanes in performance with exceptional durability and abrasion resistance, but without the harmful ingredients.
Use it on unfinished or properly prepared wood floors, furniture and cabinetry. Please read instructions carefully.
NOTE: For the clearest visual of the wood, use Gloss for the first coat(s) and Satin or Matte for the top coat.
NOTE: This product is not to be used over oil-based polyurethanes or oil-based products. Do not use over Chalk Painted Surfaces.
We've had numerous customers say they can't tolerate any other polyurethanes except this one. It's a great topical sealer for just about any indoor project you want to protect from moisture or dirty little fingers. For exterior projects use our AFM Polyureseal EXT.

Please read the Installation Guidelines in the downloads on the right side. NOTE: If you want a clear visual of your wood with a satin or matte finish, then use gloss for the first two base coats. The final coat should be satin or matte. If you use only satin or matte by themselves, it could become slightly cloudy in appearance. This technique is not required on all projects; only those that require perfect clarity.
Surface should be clean, dry and free of dust and grime. Glossy surfaces should be de-glossed or lightly sanded first to provide good adhesion.
