Ambassador: 100% Undyed Natural Wool Carpet in a Big, Bold Rugged Texture
Unique Carpet Ambassador alternates large and small loops of 100% natural wool in a non-directional pattern, creating a rugged texture in five background shades. As a natural and renewable resource made of 100% New Zealand wool, it outperforms and outlasts nylon, polypropylene and olefin carpets by 2-3 times.
Like all wool from New Zealand, the quality is stronger, bouncier and definitely softer than any other wool. It also insulates better, contain less odor and is manufactured more sustainably.
Unique Carpets also makes specialty models that contains absolutely no synthetic dyes: Ambassador, Boardwalk, Eldorado, Four Seasons, Grenoble, Kingston, Laredo, and Revue. These carpets may be more suitable for those with chemical sensitivities, allergies or asthma.
Wool has been and continues to be the fiber of choice for commercial and residential applications. Many hotels use it because it acts as a natural air purifier attracting air-borne pollutants such as dust, smoke and pollen and holding them until they can be vacuumed away. Tests show this feature of air purification can last up to 15 years.
Wool is also fire safe and is used extensively in hotels, on commercial airplanes and jets, submarines, and military vehicles because it naturally extinguishes fire. It also does not promote the growth of dust mites or bacteria.
Wool also absorbs moisture when the relative humidity is high, and then releases it later when the air becomes dry. This natural air conditioning property explains why wool is used in socks and sports clothing.
Finally, regarding energy; wool is a superior insulator that keeps the indoor environment warm in winter and cool in summer. It requires only one sixth the energy to produce than comparable synthetic fibers use.

Hot Tip: Do note that different brands and styles of carpets come in different widths. Have your installer measure your space to determine how much carpet you will need to order, as well as the best way to incorporate seams if your room is larger than a carpet's given width.
